Date announced for Three Bridges Sponsored Walk

A date has been set for another three bridges sponsored walk to raise funds for the Centre, following last year's successful walk.

This year, the walk will take place on the 13th of October at 2pm.

Marck to do Three Peaks Challenge for the Centre

Marck Foster is undertaking another walk to raise funds for the Rose Hill and Donnington Advice Centre- the 'three peaks challenge'. This gruelling hike involves climbing the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon).

Iffley Church Tea Party

Iffley Church held a very successful Tea Party in the Church Hall on Saturday, 3rd December, with all proceeds going to the Advice Centre. As well as offering a great opportunity to chat over delicious cakes and sandwiches, the Tea Party demonstrated the generosity of the people of Iffley, who are good neighbours to the Centre.

One of the organisers of the Tea Party encouraged retired people in Iffley Village who feel they do not need their Winter Fuel Allowance to donate it into a special fund operated by the Advice Centre staff. Anyone who is in receipt of means-tested benefits and asks our Advice Workers for help with debts relating to fuel costs would then be given an allocation from the special fund towards their fuel debts.

If you would like to donate your Winter Fuel Allowance then please write out a cheque to ‘Rose Hill and Donnington Advice Centre’ and send it to the Advice Centre, marking your envelope ‘Winter Fuel Allowance’. If you would like to Gift Aid it, please enclose a note setting out your full address and indicating that you are a current UK taxpayer and would like to Gift Aid it.
